My love for fine pastry has taken me places, Even outside Nigeria. I am in love with munching and the finest pastries help keep up my habit.

Last year I found out that I did not have to go all the way to Frenchies in Vi to buy donuts that I love so much. Since I tried Tea rooms Donuts and Olivia’s cafe, I have always gone back for more and more.

FYI- Frenchies, for like forever has been satisfying my donut cravings with their large size jam or cream donuts.

The hope is, if I continue to live around here I might someday add flesh to this skinny self. Oh well don’t jealous me

How do u satisfy your pastry cravings? – Donuts, croissants, chic donuts… remember how tormenting “krispy kreme” was? Well, you can have equally delicious donuts in Lekki.

Here is my list of favorite spots for different really nice pastries in Lekki.

Chocolate royale – Chocolate royale right from time has been one of those outlets that you’d stop by and pick one of each of everything they have. Finally there is a chocolate Royale in Lekki. No more trips to palms or VI. In yoruba words ‘Komolole” as in they have the yummiest donuts and pastries, and you can get those juicy donuts, muffins, cookies, macaroons, cakes and other pastries from them.

Jerry’s Bakery – Following my old post about their small chops in Lekki. I mentioned they do pastries and I have tried a few of their pastries. Pretty nice, especially their breads, I bought my mum the raisons tea bread she was impressed. What can I say, I love pastries

The Tea room – They have some of the best pastries in Lekki. Their pastries are freshly baked and you can get donuts, apple pies, sausages, croissants, chocolate croissants, Tea breads and more pastries. All very fresh and Yummy.

Olivia’s cafe – I recently discovered their cinnamon donut and I can’t get enough of them. I used to think they only had really nice breads but now I have more reasons to keep going back there. They also have really nice chocolate and vanilla muffins for the early morning munching. They have everything from freshly baked breads, wheat breads, tea bread, muffins, burger breads, sausages, pies and other pastries. They also have a bakery so be sure everything you are buying is fresh.

Paul’s cafe – Pauls cafe is your classic café, mostly for breakfast and lunch. They have an Italian chef and you know how much Italians pay attention to their pastries… their pastries always deliver for me; Donuts, croissants, cookies, cakes, etc., they have really nice slice white bread. An item on the menu for healthy people is the wheat bread.

It has been a really long week for me and I really could not wait for tonight. My week was filled up with events, thanx to social media week lagos.

I made it to only 5 out of the 150 events that happened this week. With that being said, I got invited to the closing party somewhere in VI, then we will head to the social media after hours venue at Pravada. So for tonight I am doing very little in Lekki. I will be chilling and networking.

I hope everyone has plans for this weekend, for me got dentist appointment in Lekki, lunch with the mates, visit a few new places, Launch of a beauty store and Chill chill chill.

Accessories Haven in Lekki

Another shout out to one popular blogger Linda Ikeji, Without her I will not have discovered this amazing accessories places in Lekki. The place is really hidden even for a resident, it will have taken me time to find them because of their location.

  

So I saw a post about this place on Linda’s blog and thought they had really nice accessories. They had pictures that looked too good to be true, I had to go and look for myself.

The place is Pandora Jewelry, they just opened up in Lekki phase 1. They sell all kinds of accessories from necklaces, earrings, purses, rings, bracelets, wristwatches, body jewelry, hair accessories & more. On getting there I discovered how cheap their accessories where, like you can get earrings as cheap as N500 *woooow*. Makes me wonder why the store is hidden inside a building without a sign board outside. Just maybe, people will have finished buying the accessories before I found out about them.

Anyways I was more than amazed by their prices, they where really good on most of the accessories. I could not resist buying jewelry that day and also taking pictures of the lovely pieces they had.

I also found out that if you want accessories to be delivered to you in Lekki, they can consider doing that Just for you. Now before they finished buying all the nice pieces from the stop, You might want to stop by and see for yourself.

Pandora Jewelry is located on No 26 Prince Adedeji Adewole Street off Admiralty way Lekki phase 1. It is inside the Cafe mason building.

Yoga Retreat in Lekki

Thanx to my really nice friend for always watching out for me/us. She’s my Lekki scouting partner who is currently outta town. So she hinted me about this event happening in Lekki soon whoop whoop.

It is a yoga retreat. Now in the past I have attempted a lot of these fitness things e.g running on admiralty way, joining the Lekki bridge bootcamp. My friend tried to get me to join a Yoga class which never really happened because of me. I say so much but yet I do very little when it comes to fitness. I sha have a yoga mat that will come handy soon.

As a Lekki scouter there will be a Yoga retreat in Lekki phase 1 on Saturday 1st March 2014. This is the first saturday of the month so no excuses, and you can use this to start your month giving your body the right treatment.

The yoga retreat is put together by Luvmeandmy ‘I only know them via Instagram and their website. They are all about being natural and healthy with Hair, body, skin, total wellness. I take a lot of notes about how to take care of natural hair from them. So you will get nutrition advice along with talk about how to keep up your beauty with natural products after the yoga session.

So what can you expect? 

Network with people, learn about nutrition and keeping healthy, enjoy a quiet saturday by the waterside & finally wash it down with nice healthy smoothies heehee.

Pamper me moment – Spa in Lekki

A spa treat is one I always have to plan for especially, when I have had a long week at work or month. Whichever ways it is always needed every now and then. So, last week I was searching for a really good deal on spa sessions for this month. Cheap ass like me, well I wanted something good and not too expensive.

Most of the places I kept seeing where outside Lekki, even if I wanted to go anywhere I was not willing to go far just for the treat. So as usual am roaming about in Lekki and I saw a gateman handing out flier’s. I collected one and asked him where it was he said the building. I was not scared to enter the compound, it was a really big building and I was with my friend. So we said to check it out and It was a spa. I was surprised because I never knew a spa was there it looked too cosy and residential (Duplex). And I asked how long they being there, they said A years.

On entering the spa, the environment was so welcoming. Like I just could not resist taking pictures with all the art. You can tell they spent some money interior decorating, the environment made us want to sharply check out their price list. Wait for it eeeeeerrrrrr. It is not an low class Spot. We went inside to check out the spa rooms, It felt like we where in a different world. So peaceful and calm. The spa was fully booked that day so we could not get a treat but I will definitely be going back to get myself pampered at the spa.

Venivici is not just a spa but a total wellness centre, where you can that has to do with taking care of yourself e.g weight & stress therapy, Aromatherapy, mud wrap, colon hydrotherapy, peppermint sea twist, Acne facials, mani & pedicure and many more.

They offer way too much. And just recently on their website I found out they also won an award for best wellness centre. They don’t come cheap as well. My advice is you plan a trip there not just stroll in like i did. Plan what you want and they will take care of you well. You can visit their website for full details on what they offer.
